About Hope
I am a Licensed Social Worker, author, and advocate for women healing from childhood trauma and toxic-mother daughter relationships. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, a proud HBCU graduate of Southern University & A&M College, and a current doctoral student.
With many years of experience working with at-risk youth, adolescents, and young adults, I have always known that I was meant to use my story and gifts to make an impact on women as it relates to overcoming obstacles, building healthy relationships, and improving mental health.
Shortly after obtaining my Master’s degree in Social Work, I moved across the world to live in South Korea. Aside from working in a local counseling center, I answered the call to fill the need of so many black women ex-pats in Korea in need of transforming their lives. Using myself as a testament, I want others to know it's possible to find hope in life after trauma and hardship so my goal is to use my platform, knowledge, and personal experiences to encourage other young women of color to overcome through connection and empowerment.
Since returning stateside, I have become even more passionate about my mission to help black women continue to move toward healing.
How I Can Help
I believe in taking a holistic approach, which involves examining all factors of a person’s life rather than focusing on one issue. My primary goal is to help individuals receive the care and resources they need to live healthy, comfortable lives.
